Field Limit
The 2010 field limit is 11,200. Registration is online only and is available on a first come, first served basis. The 2009 field limit of 11,000 was reached in just 81 days.

Fees
The non-refundable and non-transferable entry fee is US $100 per person plus processing fee.

Course Time Limit
The marathon finish line remains open until 2:15 p.m. Participants must cross the finish line by 2:15 p.m. in order to be considered "official finishers". After 2:15 p.m., the course and finish line are closed. The finisher shirt and medal will not be awarded after 2:15 p.m.

Course Closing Bus
Finishing the marathon by 2:15 p.m. generally means maintaining an average pace of 13:44 per mile. The race course is opened to traffic on a rolling schedule as participants make their way to the finish. In order to ensure safety, a Course Closing Bus follows the race route to pick-up participants who are unable to maintain this pace on a consistent basis. Participants are required to board the Course Closing Bus when so instructed by Race Officials.

Rules of Competition
Twin Cities In Motion (TCM) has established a Games Committee in accordance with the USA Track & Field Rules of Competition. TCM follows and applies the USATF Rules in all events it conducts to ensure safe, fair races for all participants. Below are two rules in particular that all participants need to be aware of.

Buying/Selling/Transferring Race Numbers
Twin Cities In Motion (TCM) does not allow the selling or trading of Bib Numbers and will take necessary action to prevent these transactions. If TCM Officials become aware of an individual involved in the buying or selling of an Official Race Number, the individuals involved may be banned from participating in future TCM events.

Headphones
While strongly discouraged, portable listening devices will be allowed in the ten mile. Those competing for awards of any kind may not use such devices. Cell phones and other devices capable of receiving communication are not allowed on the course. For more information regarding this rule change, click here.
