The Marketing and Public Relations Division is responsible for the image of the organization by promoting the marathon and related events throughout the year. It does so through advertising; public relations/special events (radio/TV spots, special promotions); media (news conference, media tent, trolley); news/press releases; media guide; editorials (includes Mile Marker e-newsletter, articles for other publications, results book); spectators guide, and market research. This committee also maintains "the look" of the organization through its branding of the marathon logo and relating it to all the other events. The branding of the race is also conveyed through merchandising efforts that include designing medals and t-shirts for race participants and volunteers in addition to merchandise made available for purchase throughout the year.
