IMPORTANT
For your safety and for the safety of others, absolutely no unregistered participants (including friends, family, coaches and pacers), automobiles, bicycles, cell phones, in-line skates, hand cycles, hand-cycle wheelchairs, baby joggers, strollers or pets are allowed on the course. There are no early starts. No unregistered persons are allowed on the course. In accordance with USATF rules, individuals in violation of these rules may be disqualified and asked to leave the course.

Pace Per-Mile Requirement
Participants are expected to maintain a 13:44 minute pace per-mile. For your safety, and that of the marathon participants, you may at any time be directed to the side of the road or onto the sidewalk. Please cooperate with all instructions given by course officials.

Course Certification
The course is certified by USA Track & Field (#MN07045RR). Twin Cities In Motion encourages, but does not require, USATF membership. A USATF membership can be obtained at the USA Track & Field website.  USATF membership is required to participate in the USA 10 Mile Championship.

Aid Stations and Medical Information
Water, Mountain Blast flavored POWERade® ION4® sports drink, toilets, and medical aid is available at approximately miles 3, 5.1, 7, 8, and 9.  First aid is available at every mile marker with a medical field station at the finish line.  If you cannot continue due to minor injury, drop out buses are located at each Medical Aid Station at the intersections immediately following a water stop.  Keep in mind that the nearest drop out location may be behind you.

Splits/Mile Markers
Splits will be available at miles 1 and 5. Mile markers (colorful 7' plumes) will be posted at each mile on both sides of the road.

ChampionChip
® Timing
The TC 10 Mile will be using the ChampionChip® Timing System provided by MTec (formerly ChampionChip MN). This will enable participants to get net and other split times. If you own a chip, please indicate chip number on the entry form. Chips must be picked up and tested at packet pick-up, as you will not be timed without a chip. Click here for more ChampionChip® info.

Weather
The October 3 average high temperature is 65°F, the average low is 45°F, and sunrise is at 7:13 a.m. If the temperature at the start is typically Minnesotan (low 40°F’s to 30°F’s), we recommend a long-sleeved moisture-wicking top and something on your hands.  If it’s in the 50°F’s or above, a T-shirt or singlet and shorts are appropriate.

Race Course Photography
Professional photographers, Action Sports International, will be available along the course and at the finish. Please make race number visible on the front of your clothing. Cick here to search for photos from previous years.
