Join us for an exciting Medtronic TC Kids Marathon event designed kids and families, from 9am - Noon on Saturday May 21, 2011 at Como Park in St. Paul, MN. The event will feature exciting cross country runs of Half Mile, Mile and Two Mile distances. Parents are welcome to run with their kids. All participants in the race will receive a T-shirt and medal. All attendees are welcome to stay for a free lunch.
What's an Outdoor Cross Country Fun Run?
The Medtronic TC Kids Marathon provides three culminating events to celebrate the end of each 12-week cycle of training. In May, we host a family friendly Outdoor Cross Country Fun Run at Como Park in St. Paul. The picturesque park course completes a Half Mile circuit on grass and is adjacent to the Picnic Pavilion, the Como Zoo and Como Conservatory and Gardens.
This event, which consists of Half Mile, Mile and Two Mile runs, gives your young athletes a chance to check their fitness levels after the cold, frosty winter and heading into summer. It gives them a chance to run with others of their own age. Warm-ups will be conducted by elite runners and members of Team USA Minnesota who inspire great runs with interactions on the course. Radio Disney will be providing entertainment and fun promotions.
Each young runner will receive a medal, T-shirt and lunch. The fee is only $10 if registering in advance. $15 on race day. Limited scholarships are available.
